To move the program to another computer you should perform the following steps - in sequence

Although this illustration is for Debit Square - for Pets - all products in the Debit Square ® series ( Debit Square - For Children, Debit Square - For Gardens and Debit Square - For Cars ) all use the same approach.

1. First Backup the data on the old computer. 

      A - Backup the entire directory "including all subdirectories" where you installed the program. 

           If you are using our Current version - Debit Square - For Pets- then typically, this directory would be
           "C:\Program Files\Debit Square - For Pets"

           If you are using our previous version - Pet Tracks by Auburn Software- then typically, this directory would be
           "C:\Program Files\Pet Tracks"

      B - Also back up all the files that begin with AubSW_ that are located in your windows directory - typically C:\Windows

 2. Install Debit Square - For Pets onto the new computer

      A - If you are not using the most current version, this would be a good time to update your program. Most updates are free. Check our website and download the most recent version.

      B - Install the program onto your new computer.

3. Copy Backup Files onto the new computer

      A - From your backup set on the old computer, in the system directory underneath the main program directory copy the ".job" file(s) for your Pet Set(s) to the new location on the new computer.

For example - if on the old computer I had a pet set I was using called "Joe's Pet Set" then I'd copy the file
 "C:\Program Files\Debit Square - For Pets\System\Joe's Pet Set.job"
to the
"C:\Program Files\Debit Square - For Pets\System" directory on the new machine.

If you have more than one Pet Set, then copy the additional .job files as needed.

Debit Square - For Children, Debit Square - For Gardens and Debit Square - For Cars all use the same approach.

      B - From your backup set on the old computer, in the images directory under the system directory underneath the main program directory copy the Entire Directory of your Pet Set to the new location on the new computer.

For example - if on the old computer I had a pet set I was using called "Joe's Pet Set" then I'd copy the entire directory and contents 
"C:\Program Files\Debit Square - For Pets\System\images\Joe's Pet Set"
to the
"C:\Program Files\Debit Square - For Pets\System\images" directory on the new machine. (thereby creating a new folder called Joe's Pet Set under the images directory)

If you have more than one Pet Set, then copy the additional directories as needed.

Debit Square - For Children, Debit Square - For Gardens and Debit Square - For Cars all use the same approach.

      C - From your backup set on the old computer, copy the .ini file that pertains to your Pet Set that was in your old Windows directory. Copy that file to your new Windows directory.

For example - if on the old computer I had a pet set I was using called "Joe's Pet Set" then I'd copy the .ini file
"C:\Windows\AubSW_Joe's Pet Set.ini"
to the
"C:\Windows\" directory on the new machine.

If you have more than one Pet Set, then copy additional ini files as needed.

Debit Square - For Children, Debit Square - For Gardens and Debit Square - For Cars all use the same approach.

4. Open Debit Square - For Pets

      A - Open the program and choose your Pet Set - Joe's Pet Set in this example.

      B - Activate the new program as explained in Registration of your manual.
